The Hilti SDS Max rotary hammer drill bit features a TE-YX carbide head with X geometry and multiple cutting edges for drilling in reinforced concrete. The head design helps prevent jamming when it encounters reinforcing bars, while the thinner, lighter flute makes drilling easier and faster.

The heat-treated flute provides wear resistance, while the wear mark helps assess whether the bit is suitable for anchor installation. The fully integrated head contributes to its service life. It is used for rotary hammer drilling in concrete, masonry, brick and limestone, for holes for installing chemical or mechanical anchors, and for installing reinforcing bars with Hilti injectable bonding mortar. Its long length also makes it suitable for renovation work, such as cutting waterproofing joints in masonry and concrete.
