The editing of the text has been carried out in such a way as to ensure easy readability, keeping in mind that this is a novel. For this reason, there are no footnotes, only those authored by P. S. Delta, which are marked with an asterisk.

The minimal footnotes added by the editor mainly include translations of foreign words or phrases, as well as brief explanatory comments.

The reader will find a Glossary at the end of each volume, with explanations of certain words that are now outdated, as well as some historical information about the figures and events mentioned by the author.

At the end of the third volume, a list of all the characters in the novel is provided, detailing their familial relationships, as well as any correspondences—if they exist—with the real people in the author's life. Finally, the Editor's Note attempts to place the novel within the context of P. S. Delta's life.
