Borma Wachs Tung 3990 impregnating varnish is a natural, 100% plant-based oil derived from the fruits of the Tung tree, designed to protect wooden surfaces. It provides surface hardness and moisture resistance, and is suitable for children's toys and kitchen countertops that come into contact with food. It is certified to EN 71-3:2013 for the migration of heavy metals from children's toys and objects.
For greater absorption and durability, dilute at a 1:1 ratio with Solvoil Plus or another Solvoil series thinner. Apply in multiple coats, allowing sufficient drying time between coats, until the surface is saturated. After 24 hours, polish the surface with 0000 steel wool or very fine sandpaper.
