This study attempts to capture the trajectory of deception as it is initially outlined in the Homeric epics and evolves in the work of Aeschylus, as it was shaped during that specific time period and how it is reflected in the works of the two poets.
Based on the vocabulary, the forms and role of deception are initially examined in the value scale of the Homeric world and subsequently in the work of Aeschylus within the context of the values of the organized city.
