I was never a fan of the Devil May Cry games since I first saw them on the PS2, I didn't like their style and vibe! However, on the PS3, I decided to give the franchise a chance and bought the retail package of Devil May Cry 4, but it disappointed me a lot. After a while, I learned that Capcom assigned Ninja Theory to develop the next Devil May Cry game! However, being disappointed, I didn't pay much attention to it and left it. One day, when I went to a friend's house for a coffee, he told me that he bought the new Devil May Cry and suggested we watch it together on his Xbox One! The game initially released on PS3 / Xbox 360 & PC under the name DMC: Devil May Cry, but it was later re-released as DMC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition for PS4 / Xbox One. So, after Ninja Theory took over the development, they essentially rebooted the franchise and the result they achieved was more than good. Even though I didn't enjoy the franchise at all on PS2 and PS3, I found myself enjoying it incredibly to the point where I bought the game for my PS4 on the same day from a local store! (Such enthusiasm, I tell you)
P.S. The game has a very interesting single-player story! And the best part is that when you finish the main game, which mainly focuses on Dante's story, the PS4 and Xbox One versions, which are the Definitive Edition, include the DLC of Vergil with at least another five to six hours of pure gameplay and additional storyline from Vergil's perspective.
P.S.2 For those who quickly learn the moves, they will greatly enjoy the badass moves! Truly, Ninja Theory, especially in this aspect, left me speechless with the amazing choreographies that Dante and Vergil executed with absolute synchronization and dressed in pitch-black death metal, pounding throughout the intense gameplay. (Truly impressive)
P.S.3 If we consider the very satisfying duration of the title, meaning if you don't rush and take the time to explore its world, then the first playthrough will keep you engaged for at least 18 to 20 hours of pure gameplay! However, after finishing the main game with Dante, you gain access to Vergil's DLC, which also provides another five to six hours of gameplay, resulting in at least 25+ hours of engagement with the game. (Not bad at all)
P.S.4 For me, the DMC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition deserves a solid "10!" because I had an incredible amount of fun slaughtering everything around me, and I got extremely excited due to its solid gameplay, music, and story! I didn't get bored for a single minute. It is definitely worth the purchase, especially now that the retail package includes everything I mentioned, and the price is truly a steal for what it offers as a complete experience.
P.S.5 Happy shopping to everyone. {{ My respects, dear readers! }}
