The Makita HR2670 SDS+ rotary hammer from ITS is a powerful SDS+ drill with 3 modes of operation that delivers impact energy of up to 3.0 Joules. It offers rotation mode, hammer mode, and rotation/hammer mode to provide you with a dynamic range of options.

Durable Construction

Thanks to the powerful motor, the drill offers a no-load speed of up to 1500 revolutions per minute and an impact rate of up to 4500ipm. A 4-meter power cord allows you to easily reach key work positions and guarantees continuous power supply.

Comfort & Functionality

The double-insulated Makita rotary hammer includes variable speed and limited torque, so it does not overload even under heavy loads. The torque limiter will activate when a certain torque level is reached. The motor will disconnect from the output shaft. When this happens, the drill will stop rotating. A recessed lock-on button allows for continuous use.

    gave it away and got this one

    The selector switch no longer has that button to turn, which I consider an advantage
    It is also shorter compared to the previous one and gives you the feeling that it is lighter!
    The handle on the 2470 would unscrew by turning the handle, on this one you turn the butterfly
    it takes the same effort to rotate the handle as in the previous one because it locks in positions and not wherever you want.

    I would say between the two, prefer this one. Of course, we still have to see its reliability, but Makita says it has improved the mechanism and reliability

    It does the job just fine. What bothers me and I find inconvenient is the way the orientation of the auxiliary handle is adjusted. It has a wing nut that requires you to take your hand off the tool, loosen it, place the handle where you want, and then tighten it again. There are tasks where you constantly change the orientation of the tool, and these actions are unnecessary and tiring. Tools with a rotating handle for loosening and tightening are far superior in this feature.
