The Keychron K17 Max mechanical keyboard features a low-profile design, a 96% layout, and tactile Gateron Brown switches. It connects wirelessly via 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth 5.1, and also supports a wired USB-C connection. The RGB backlighting offers more than 22 effects, while QMK software and the Keychron Launcher app let you customize the key layout and create macros.

The frame combines ABS and aluminum, while the double-shot keycaps are made of PBT. The switches are hot-swappable, with no soldering required, and the IXPE and latex foam inside the keyboard dampens typing noise. The rechargeable 2,000 mAh battery provides up to 95 hours of use with the backlighting turned off. The keyboard offers three adjustable tilt angles.
