The Fanar carbide drill bit with a diameter of 9 mm has a 10 mm cylindrical shank and a 140° point angle. It is suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminium, copper, brass, titanium and zinc, as well as their alloys and plastics.

The PVD Futura Nano (TiAlN) coating has a microhardness of 3300 HV and allows operation at temperatures of up to 900°C. The drill bit is primarily intended for use in CNC machine tools and high-performance production, but can also be used for dry machining or with minimal cooling on less demanding materials. It features a Type C point (split point) and complies with the DIN 6537 L standard.
