The Fanar carbide drill has a diameter of 5 mm and a cylindrical shank with a diameter of 6 mm. It is made of carbide and features an Oerlikon Balzers PVD Futura Nano (TiAlN) coating, with a microhardness of 3300 HV and heat resistance of up to 900 °C in the cutting zone.
The 140° point angle and Type C edge correction (Split Point) support drilling in sheet metal, metal, steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and plastics. It is primarily suitable for CNC machine tools and for machining cast iron, titanium and their alloys, as well as steel, aluminium and copper alloys. It is not suitable for threading.
