The NDx4 neutral density filter reduces light by 4 times or 75% (decreases the aperture by 2 stops). It is completely neutral, does not affect color shift, and does not distort the image. It can be used for both color and black-and-white photography.
The main purpose of the NDx4 filter is to limit the amount of light entering the lens, preventing overexposure and extending the exposure time. This allows for greater depth of field and is particularly useful for long exposure photography, such as capturing cloud movement, frothy water, or busy streets.
