The B+W Master 803 lens filter is a neutral density filter that reduces light by 3 stops without affecting color balance. It allows for longer exposure times and wider apertures, giving you control over depth of field or letting you create motion effects. It is suitable for bright conditions, such as snow, mountains, and beaches, as well as for photographing streams, waterfalls, and vehicles.
It is made from Schott optical-quality glass, coated with 14 anti-reflective layers and 2 protective nano layers. The slim, black matte frame is made of brass and features a front thread for attaching a second filter or accessory, such as a lens cap or hood. The metal oxide MRC coatings protect against water, moisture, dust, dirt, and scratches, while the outer nano layer reduces the adhesion of water and condensation and makes cleaning easier with a soft cloth. It can be used without vignetting at focal lengths from 17 mm on full-frame cameras and from 10 mm on APS-C cameras.
