Description

The LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries with built-in BMS system are primarily characterized by their very lightweight and high number of operational cycles (approximately 2000 cycles with 100% DoD while maintaining an average of 80% of their nominal capacity). Due to their high cycle life and very low self-discharge rate, the LiFePO4 battery is ideal for both emergency power systems and OFF-GRID installations.

The reduced weight allows the device to be used in vehicle installations (camping, food trucks) and boats. The built-in BMS system ensures the protection of the battery without loss of nominal capacity for a long time and controls the charging and discharging processes of the battery.

Which devices are powered by a LiFePO4 battery?

  • Emergency power systems
  • OFF-GRID installations
  • Installations in vehicles (camping, food trucks)
  • Electrical installations on boats for powering electronic devices, lighting, household appliances (ONLY when using a battery case with absolute waterproofing).

Note: When using a LiFePO4 battery to power a device with an electric motor, including motors that drive propellers, the use of a DC circuit breaker on the (+) battery circuit is mandatory, with a rating not exceeding the maximum charging current specified on the case. Charging the battery with starting current, which can be 5 to 10 times greater than the nominal operating current of the electric motors, may cause permanent damage to the LiFePO4 battery with BMS, which is not covered by warranty.

It is recommended to use AGM batteries to power moving motors due to their significantly higher starting current.
