If trees could speak about the human stories they have listened to, under their shade or upon their branches, then all of us humans would probably be wiser.

However, since trees are certainly wiser and richer than humans, they offer us, through these sixteen stories, this legacy of theirs as well as their knowledge. A purely archetypal knowledge, which has to do with how our experiences and behaviors ultimately lead us, through our five senses, to pain and to love.

And now, it is up to each of us individually to decide how we will walk our own path in life. And if any of us wonders what that way might be, we could simply embrace a beloved tree, press our ear against its trunk, and listen to all those small, yet great and important things the tree has to reveal to us.

And the more of us embrace such a tree, the closer we will come to what we truly are and what we always long to experience. And then we will realize that the path of love and giving is the way trees have chosen to serve humans.

It is my wish that, at some point, each of us will offer "the wood of our trunk-body" to the fire of the path of unity and the evolution of human consciousness.
