Bleck, the Blond Giant of comics, was created by the EsseGesse team in 1954. Together with the always hungry but genius Professor Mystery, and the young Roddy, they fight against the English conquerors for the liberation of their homeland, America, during the American Revolution (1775-1783). In Italy, France, and Serbia, he has been one of the most beloved comic heroes for decades. Similarly, in our country, from his first appearance in 1969 by Stelios Anemodouras, he soon reached hundreds of thousands of weekly sales, an extraordinary number for the time.

A magazine that managed to escape the censorship of the Junta due to its American protagonist, while its storyline speaks of the fight for freedom, with a strong resistance and anti-colonial element. Seventy years later, the adventures of this unusual trio continue to move and entertain readers. This is what we hope to achieve for you with this series of graphic novels, through a selection of the best stories of the hero of our childhood.

In the new collection of stories, we have the unpublished in our country "Lord Cobra" [Il Grande Blek Serie V #1-9, 1995-1996] and "The Shipwreck" [Kiwi #244, 1975]. In the first, our heroes face the mysterious Lord Cobra, a man with strange magical powers sent from England to capture the leader of the revolutionaries. In the second, we see the hunters' hideout being attacked and Bleck organizing a counterattack, while an unknown castaway with a strange tattoo on his chest hides many secrets.

In "Lord Cobra," we see Dario Guzzon, one of the three members of the EsseGesse team, returning to the script with a thrilling story signed by Lina Buffolente, a historic "hand" of the Italian comic scene.
