Archer Bear had just become a father in a way he could never have imagined. Not that he had ever imagined he would become a father. What business did he, a sworn bachelor and workaholic chef, have with a child? He didn’t even have houseplants because he didn’t have time to keep them alive. And he was sure that a child needed more care than a ficus. But, according to the lawyer who had called him a week ago and had shaken his entire existence, Archer had a daughter. A daughter he had never met and whose existence he had been unaware of for the five years since her birth. And her mother, Kate, had recently been killed in a car accident and now he would never have the chance to ask her why, although she hadn’t told him about the child, she had listed him as the father on the birth certificate. It still seemed completely crazy to him when he thought about it. Even now, as he walked quickly down the main street of the strange small town where Kate had grown up, nothing seemed real to him.

a sweet and romantic book, without toxic situations, for relaxed reading. Finally something healthy that simply touches on everyday issues, without exaggerations. Definitely a pleasant read and sooo cute!!

A famous chef, an unexpected new beginning in a small town, and a café full of flavors, emotions, and tender moments. The Strawberry Pancake Hangout is a warm, romantic story that combines humor, the concept of family – by choice – and everyday life, with a touch of magic. A feel-good read for those who love contemporary romantic stories with heart, care, and a happy ending.

This book is a blend of cozy vibes and the beloved small town trope. If you enjoy this style, I believe you will particularly enjoy it. Here we also meet characters we have encountered in Pumpkin Spice Café, which adds an extra sense of familiarity.

The atmosphere of the place, the calm rhythms, and the secondary characters create a warm, welcoming setting – perfect for getting lost in. The writing is simple yet beautiful, and the narrative flows pleasantly.

What touched me the most was the relationship between the father and his daughter. It was very beautiful to watch their evolution as they gradually learn to live together and become a real dad and daughter. There was something very tender and genuine in this part of the story that will stay with me.

    4/5 (the cutest)

What is your favorite trope in cozy cute romances? For me, single dad x nanny!

A book that feels like spring and just the cover! But the inside will reward you as you find a wonderful little town, Dream Harbor, well-written characters, a light fluffy romance atmosphere with pancakes, a grumpy single dad chef, and the nanny. And yes, it’s spicy! Just what I think is needed for a palette cleanser, as we say in my village.

Archer Bear certainly didn't plan to stay in a small town as a chef in a small restaurant making pancakes. The Diner needs a chef, and Archer needs a community for his daughter so they can gradually build their lives.

On the other hand, there’s Iris who desperately wants a job after her failed attempts to find one and keep it. So when Archer is looking for a nanny, she thinks, why not? Now, however, she’s living in the same house with her handsome employer who likes to cook at night without a shirt. It shouldn’t be hard to keep things professional, right?

With a guaranteed happy ending, a sweet light book, you will love the Diner Strawberry Pancake.
