The collection "Gradations" includes music of variety, change, and progression. The early minuets of Mozart, as well as a couple of sonatas by Marcello, are included. A sonatina by Clementi and 'Kaleidoscope' by Benjamin Lee are also here. Bartók and Bach provide valuable pieces for the development of piano skills in children. 'Doll’s Lament' by César Franck and 'My Stubborn Little Brother' by Kabalevsky represent more negative emotions of childhood, however, primarily this is music of joy and fun.
