Thirty years after the destruction of Tokyo by the gods, the survivors are trying to answer a seemingly impossible question—how do you kill a god?

Japan has been invaded by gods—and they have left nothing but death and destruction in their wake. With entire cities designated as uninhabitable danger zones, god-fighting researcher Sachiyuki Tokinaga is determined to find a way to take down the gods and save humanity. When fate brings him close to student Laka Kamikura, the two of them may change the fate of the world forever.

After a terrifying display of power from Laka, Tokinaga has no choice but to subdue her and hand her over to the Institute for God Research for interrogation. Laka claims she has sworn to kill the gods, but with a gaze like hers, how can he trust her?

As it turns out, Laka is not the only one with secrets. The institute has developed its own weapons against the gods, and unless Laka can stand up to them, she may not survive long enough to prove she is telling the truth.
