Review this product
  • Easy disk installation
  • Construction quality
  • Performance stability
  • Disk application in the case
  • Value for money
  • The only reason I’m giving four stars is because although the outside is metal and it has paste inside for the drive (thermal pad), it doesn’t make contact, it doesn’t transfer the heat anywhere. That is, whether you put the thermal pad in or not, it’s pointless. It doesn’t mean anything, because its price is excellent, it just doesn’t provide cooling. It’s only as much as the drive can withstand on its own, just as it would be in a computer without a heatsink. I just don’t know if I could find one that fits in the small gap it has

Easy installation of the NVMe drive, low temperatures (for my own use) and so far stable and reliable, with no disconnections, which for me is THE criterion for selection and evaluation. Compared with other more expensive enclosures I own (e.g. Asus TUF A1 or Asus Arion), it does not seem to fall behind in terms of speed. However, it is definitely at least a notch below in build quality, though that does not mean anything for the overall picture of it as an SSD - NVMe drive enclosure. Conclusion so far: For its price, EXCELLENT and highly recommended...UPDATE 12/8/2026: Some connectivity problems appeared ONLY under heavy use (copying large files and many GB)...The problem is observed with various drives on a Windows 11 system with an ASUS B650 motherboard and is probably due - after thorough research and investigation - either to the cable that comes with the enclosure or to the high temperatures that develop...The problem does not appear with the same drives in other external enclosures (e.g. ASUS TUF A1). On Mac, so far I have not encountered any problem...I mention it simply as an additional element in evaluating the device, and for that reason I am removing one star from the initial rating.

I got the case to migrate from the factory SSD to the Samsung 990 evo plus. The worst purchase I could have made!! It doesn't recognize any disk at all for any reason! I changed cables, (3) changed computers and ports, still nothing!! It's a shame because I thought the SSD (Samsung 990 evo plus 1TB) was burnt since it heats up as soon as I connect it! I don't know what problem it might have caused to the disk that was in the box. Stay away!!! Tested with disks: Samsung 990 evo plus; SK hynix the exact model is in the photo and another Samsung factory one that the laptop had when I got it.
