This review is about the colour: Black

Coming from Hoka Clifton 9, the Skyward has a lot to live up to. It’s undoubtedly a high shoe, but I literally feel no shock absorption. It’s like stepping on sponges; maybe not as stable for running, but on the first long run I did (14 km), it felt very pleasant. All the pressure I felt around my shins down to my ankles, etc., transferred to my thighs, which is where it should be. Definitely not the most suitable for interval training, but if it’s part of your workout, then it’s manageable. The downside is the extra weight; in size 45, it’s about 330 grams, so it’s noticeable on long distances. The ventilation of the shoe is a bit of an issue, which is not good; Hoka has a problem in this area, and it’s evident in this shoe as well. Finally, when I first wore them, they gave me the feeling that my feet were going to turn outward, like I was stepping awkwardly, but it’s ultimately a matter of sensation. Some minor discomfort in the arches is something all Hoka shoes have; it passes quickly in the first kilometers. In conclusion, this is a shoe for asphalt-sidewalk; your feet won’t suffer from the constant pounding, the kilometers come out comfortably, and the carbon plate does its job. I definitely recommend them without reservation; try them on before you buy, unless you’ve had Hoka before, the sizes are roughly the same.
