Why did I hit this cooling juggernaut with one star? Because it doesn't come with an AMD backplate. It comes with the full mounting kit for Intel CPUs + the backplate, but the AMD backplate doesn't come included, and the manual tells you to use the stock backplate that came with your motherboard. If you don't have it, then all you're getting here is a brick.
Edit: now that I tested it and had great results on my ryzen 5 3600, review adjusted to 4 stars since it's unfair to hit it with one star. I ordered an am4 backplate and was finally able to install it. It runs almost silently and allows the cpu to boost to its max and sustain it without throttling. Still, I don't like the obscure instruction manual. The included retention bracket that holds the cooler has 2 holes for 2 different positions labeled 8 and 0, and you have to choose the correct one. The manual doesn't explain which hole suits which cpu, so I ended up trying to fit the cooler by trial and error, assembling and disassembling till I was able to find the perfect fit. Make sure to watch some youtube videos or do some research if you don't want to suffer while installing it.
