The Keychron K4 HE comes with pre-lubricated Gateron double-rail magnetic switches for an ultra-stable and responsive typing experience with instant response time and precise control.

Adjustable Actuation Point

Customize each key with precision by adjusting the actuation points from 0.2 to 3.8 mm with 0.1 mm sensitivity, minimizing accidental touches.

LKP & Snap Click Functions
  • LKP allows seamless direction changes.

Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switches

The heart of the K4 HE is based on the innovative Hall Effect technology. Unlike traditional switches that require physical contact, the magnetic Gateron Double-Rail switches use magnetic field sensors to register key presses. This architecture eliminates friction and wear of metal contacts, offering significantly increased lifespan. The double-rail structure ensures absolute stability of the key stem, minimizing wobble. The switches are pre-lubricated for smooth operation and support Hot-Swappable capability with compatible magnetic switches, allowing for easy maintenance or upgrades.

Adjustable Actuation & Rapid Trigger

The magnetic nature of the switches allows complete control of the actuation point with 0.1 mm accuracy. The user can set the actuation distance from 0.2 mm to 3.8 mm for each key individually. The Dynamic Rapid Trigger function enables immediate key reset as soon as upward movement is detected, regardless of the total pressing depth. This eliminates reset dead time, allowing for extremely fast command repetitions. Additionally, the Last Keystroke Prioritization (LKP) and Snap Click functions optimize response to simultaneous key presses, offering a tactical advantage in FPS titles.

Advanced Connectivity & MCU Performance

The system is powered by a powerful microcontroller (MCU) with ARM architecture and 256K Flash memory, designed to handle high-speed data. The keyboard offers a Polling Rate of 1000 Hz (1ms latency) both in wired USB Type-C connection and in wireless 2.4 GHz mode, ensuring competitive responsiveness. At the same time, Bluetooth 5.2 technology allows stable connection with up to 3 devices simultaneously, with instant switching for multitasking between computer, tablet, and smartphone. The battery and power management are optimized for long-lasting use.

Dynamic Keystrokes & Analog Mode

Through the Keychron Web Launcher software, the K4 HE supports the Dynamic Keystrokes (DKS) function. This allows you to assign up to 4 different actions to a single key, depending on the depth of the press and the direction of movement (e.g. a light press for walking, a deep press for running). Additionally, the Analog Mode function turns the switches into analog controllers, offering progressive input control similar to a gamepad's triggers. This feature enables precise control in simulation games (racing, flight sims), where the intensity of the command is determined by how deeply you press the key.

Acoustic Insulation & Build Quality

The internal structure of the K4 HE is designed for premium acoustic performance. It incorporates multiple layers of sound insulation, including 3.5 mm thick EVA foam, EPDM foam, and a silicone base, which absorb vibrations and eliminate case echo. The keycaps are made from double-shot PBT (OSA or Cherry profile), offering resistance to shine and a high-quality texture. The new stabilizers feature reinforced side walls to reduce 'wobble' on large keys. The frame combines aluminum (and wood in the Special Edition), providing sturdiness and weight that enhances stability.
