I wasn't so bothered by the tear as much as by my little girl's disappointment... we returned it and they sent a new chair... This one is also torn on the side of the backrest. And there were fewer screws than expected. The packaging of the product is completely unacceptable. There is no protection for the product inside the packaging. It's just wrapped in a nylon bag without any protection, resulting in the metal parts touching the thin cardboard that is between the seat and the metal, piercing the cardboard and tearing the material of the chair, and tearing it very easily either during packaging or transport. The responsibility probably lies with the way it has been packaged, but it certainly does not lie with the consumer. If the store opens the rest, they will be the same. That's why I won't go through the process of changing it again... the store should have proceeded to return the chairs to China.
