Why would someone buy this CPU in 2025? Because I have two AM4 at home and another two in the extended family for which I am responsible for their proper functioning, and the local store asked me for 20 euros to check if a motherboard is working. With this chip with integrated graphics, I do troubleshooting easily, and the rest of the time I have it in a computer running Linux as an educational experiment.

Due to the lack of cheap processors, I chose this specific one with reservations....!!!
In the end, my fears were proven wrong.
It is a little monster, it runs like crazy with AMD applications!!!

At 50 euros, it is excellent; at 100, not. Unfortunately, it is the only option for an APU with gaming capabilities at this price. Also, the cooler makes a whine when it is in PWM mode, which is the default. It seems that others have this problem too.

Overall, it is good. I had one but quickly replaced it with a Ryzen 3. In games, don't expect anything incredible; it basically plays basic games and a bit demanding ones on low settings for its price, just not at least for now

It's a perfectly fine entry-level processor, I've set up 2 systems with it that work great - bought for around €50. But its current price of €110 is a joke, almost anything you buy for that money is a better deal.

Satisfactory and vfm purchase. Combined with Gigabyte DS3H motherboard, G.Skill Aegis 3000mhz (worked fine with XMP) 16GB, Thermaltake 500W PSU, and Western Digital M.2 240GB Green. It opens in fractions of a second and all applications run very smoothly. For office use, browsing, Netflix, light photo/video editing, it's the best. Together with an Aerocool case, the build cost 289 euros.

Installed on MSI B450 A PRO MAX, with Kingston HYPER X FURY 16GB (2X8) at 2666Mhz (be careful because it probably doesn't support higher speeds, it didn't even give a signal at startup with the GSKILL AEGIS 16 GB at 3000Mhz. Overclocked to 3.9 Mhz with 1.4 volts and the Vega 3 at 1,550Mhz with 1.225 volts and using 2 GB permanently from the RAM (meaning it starts with 14GB) with stock cooler and only a rear fan in the case, after 5 hours of gaming it doesn't go above 60 degrees. csgo 1080p all low reaches 85 fps and with lower resolution (as pros play, it reached 125-130). I believe with some minimal compromises in Fortnite and League Of Legends you can play comfortably without needing an extra GPU. Overall very satisfied, super fast and for simple use like browsing, 4K movies. 5/5 then

    A pleasant surprise this processor.

I use it as the main processor in a general-purpose PC and it is truly excellent. I didn't expect it considering we are talking about a humble processor with 2 cores and 4 threads. And yet it does its job perfectly and the system shows no delays anywhere. Even though I am using its integrated graphics card. I mention this because with an older generation Intel processor, when you used it with its integrated graphics, it would freeze. Not for long durations, just fractions of a second, but enough to ruin the user experience of the computer. The Athlon doesn't notice anything.

Up to €50-55 it is worth it. Above that, consider the 2200G or the 3200G, provided they are sold at reasonable prices. If the only options are some Celeron of bad quality or even Pentium with Intel's terrible graphics, go up to €60 if necessary.

Its speed is satisfactory for a desktop computer.
The cooler is very small but more than sufficient.
    Very low power consumption.
    Its graphics are satisfactory.
Use dual channel memory (that is, an even number of RAM sticks).
Although it will run games like Minecraft, Fortnite, CSGO, and LoL, it is not recommended for users who intend to play games, even very light ones.
The 3000G has 3 graphics cores while the 2200G and 3200G have 8 graphics cores that perform 2-3 times better in games.

From overclocking, I pushed the CPU to 3.9GHz and the GPU to 1700MHz (from 1100MHz) and in games, it reaches 55-60C with the stock cooler.
In CSGO at medium-low 1080p, it runs over 100fps without stuttering.

And don't forget to download the AMD drivers for the iGPU; it needs drivers like all graphics cards

It's worth the money, it's a little monster. It maintains sufficiently low temperatures even with a small overclock with the stock in the box fan.

The onboard graphics personally seem much better to me than a core i7 in a recent laptop that was purchased with integrated graphics.

It's a little RYZEN. It's more than enough for office use - Internet - video streaming 4K comfortably with many tabs open in Chrome.

Just feed it sufficiently with RAM, at least 8GB and 2 sticks of RAM at least 4+4. With 2 sticks of RAM, the graphics perform better.

Ideal processor for mom and dad who have old power-hungry, noisy computers.

I bought it for building a low-budget HTPC for watching 4K UHD HDR movies, Netflix, and YouTube on a 4K TV with integrated graphics. After several tests with different types of files, the playback is flawless without any issues. It will not be used for gaming, so I have no opinion on that specific topic. For the work I need it for, it is just fine.
At the moment, it is in an Asus ROG Strix X470-F Gaming motherboard with G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16GB DDR4-3200MHz memory clocked at 2400MHz and 2 SSD drives. It temporarily replaced a Ryzen 5 3600 for testing until I get the other parts for the HTPC. For cooling, the cooler that comes with it was installed. Its temperatures are normal, and the only downside is the noise from its fan.

The Mini Ryzen deserves an award for performance, economy, and ease of use. Mini Ryzen because it wrongly comes with the name Athlon while having Ryzen architecture in its cores. Excellent desktop, with 4 threads, flawless internet browsing and YouTube video playback with 37% CPU usage at 4K 50fps! Silent, cool at 25-40 degrees, DDR4 2666MHz, PCI x8 for 2 x M.2 SSD PCI, the graphics card even 1080/RX 580 with no bottleneck at all.

System with a motherboard costing 50 euros, Gigabyte B450 S2H, with all the bells and whistles, DUAL DDR4 3000MHz + M.2 PCI 3.0 CORSAIR MP510 X4 SSD + 2 SATA SSD A400 + 2 HDD 1TB covers everything except heavy gaming. Excellent display on a 2K monitor with HDMI 2.2 with 8-bit color.

System for under 300 euros with a 3-year warranty - with the possibility of full upgrade up to 3950X and GPU. Not a single euro on outdated Intel with double the price, temperatures, consumption, and changes in motherboards and chipsets. Not even used ones without warranty.

It is very good for a budget CPU, it is fast, reliable, and although the 2 cores and 4 threads are not the best, it is cheaper than many other processors and it is also unlocked. I combined it with a GTX 1050 2GB and I could even play Battlefield V. Even with the Vega 3 graphics, with an overclock to 1.7GHz on the GPU and 4.0GHz on the CPU, I could play Battlefield 1, Battlefield V at 1280x720 with low settings at 30fps and Red Dead Redemption at 1024x768 with low settings at 35fps, but without overclocking you won't be able to play AAA games or at least not without having to lower the settings much more. Now for e-sports or indie games like Overwatch, CSGO, Fortnite, TF2, Minecraft, etc., it is just fine

Now for e-sports or indie games like Overwatch, CSGO, Fortnite, TF2, Minecraft, etc., it is just fine

This review is about packaging: Box, with cooler: Yes

It's what someone needs for entry level, but not for 100 euros. Look for something better.

  • Why would someone buy this CPU in 2025? Because I have two AM4 at home and another two in the extended family for which I am responsible for their proper functioning, and the local store asked me for 20 euros to check if a motherboard is working. With this chip with integrated graphics, I do troubleshooting easily, and the rest of the time I have it in a computer running Linux as an educational experiment.

  • Due to the lack of cheap processors, I chose this specific one with reservations....!!!
In the end, my fears were proven wrong.
It is a little monster, it runs like crazy with AMD applications!!!

  • At 50 euros, it is excellent; at 100, not. Unfortunately, it is the only option for an APU with gaming capabilities at this price. Also, the cooler makes a whine when it is in PWM mode, which is the default. It seems that others have this problem too.

  • Overall, it is good. I had one but quickly replaced it with a Ryzen 3. In games, don't expect anything incredible; it basically plays basic games and a bit demanding ones on low settings for its price, just not at least for now

  • It's a perfectly fine entry-level processor, I've set up 2 systems with it that work great - bought for around €50. But its current price of €110 is a joke, almost anything you buy for that money is a better deal.
