A few words about the author
Flannery O’Connor (1925–1964) was an American author known for her contribution to the Southern Gothic literature of the American South. She wrote two novels and more than 30 short stories, where the concepts of salvation, violence, and human sinfulness prevail. Her work is characterized by dark humor, deep religious and existential themes, and characters in extreme situations. Despite her premature loss, her influence on contemporary literature is timeless and strong.
