The Risk 2210 A.D. includes four expansions that were previously released only as prizes in tournaments in the mid-2000s.

  • Mars: New battlefields in two locations: Mars and the moons Phobos and Deimos. These maps add neutral areas that do not belong to any continent, so no bonus can be obtained from them.
  • Tech Commander: Introduce a sixth commander into the game, with a new set of cards that adds advanced weapons and tactics such as mind control and technical espionage.
  • Factions: Before the game starts, each player chooses one of six factions, which determines the amount of energy, cards, and commanders they start with, as well as what special abilities they have.
  • Invasion of the Giant Amoebas: At the beginning of a round, the active player draws from the amoeba event card, with the amoebas being an alien threat with advanced technology that will threaten everyone.
