Water-soluble

POSCA color is “water-soluble”: it can be diluted to create a gradient effect.

Color mixing

While the color is wet, colors can be mixed on the work surface by blending with the tip or with a brush to create infinite color gradations.

Ideal for layering

Thick and opaque, POSCA color is ideal for layering. Dark colors can be applied over light colors or light over dark.

Blowing technique

The “blowing” technique gives the gradient effect observed in street art.

Prepare the Posca marker

Shake the marker vigorously up and down with the cap on. You will hear the ball inside moving, indicating that the color is mixing.

Test the marker

Press the tip several times on a scrap piece of paper until the tip is filled with color.

Cleaning the tip

If necessary, you can clean the marker tip with water as often as needed.

Replacing the tip

If the tip becomes unusable, it can be turned to the other side for use.

Storage conditions

POSCA markers can be stored in any position, as long as the cap is replaced after use.
