You set the amount in doses (1 dose = standard kibbles) so based on 1 dose you adjust how many doses you want it to drop each time, there is no setting to choose exactly how much it will be in grams or pieces. Maximum number of feedings is 6 per day and there is also a button to drop 1 dose immediately regardless of scheduled portions. It drops the same amount in each bowl, there is no option for different portions.
