The workshops that process amber collect the unused amber shavings, as well as quantities of amber that are not processed. They press the above materials into molds at extremely high temperatures, creating compressed amber.

Compressed amber comes in various shades, achieving this by mixing different materials and from the different conditions of pressure and temperature. It is more durable and harder to use, retaining the natural properties of amber.

It is typically found in honey, light, and dark brown colors.
