Overall, this is a reliable food thermos for basic use. Personally, before I use it, I put boiling water inside for a while to preheat it. I need to open the valve because, due to the temperature, pressure builds up and makes unscrewing difficult.
It keeps the food lukewarm for about 1–2 hours, which is sufficient for my use. The important thing is that it closes well and there is no leakage at all. It was given to me as a gift for my baby and within this timeframe I have enough time to give them their meal properly.
However, if you are looking for a thermos that keeps food hot for many hours, then this is definitely not the right choice.
