Borma Color enamel is a high-temperature paint based on special silicone resins. It can be applied to metal or concrete surfaces and structures exposed to intense heat, such as chimneys, fireplaces, stoves, barbecues, grills and exhausts. It withstands intermittent heat up to 800 °C.
It is ready to use and can be applied with a roller, brush or spray gun; thinning is only required for spray-gun application. To prepare the surface, remove grease, silicone, old paint, dirt and rust, sand it, and remove the dust. The application temperature should be between 5 and 35 °C. After application, allow it to dry for 1–2 hours before applying the next coat. Sanding is not required if the next coat is applied within 24 hours; otherwise, use 180–220 grit sandpaper. Before use, apply controlled heat at 250 °C for at least 1 hour to promote curing and achieve maximum resistance.
