Mark Twain, the author of the famous "Huckleberry Finn," was perhaps one of the most brilliant minds we encounter in world literature in the last two centuries, mainly for his subversive, humorous perspective with which he approached reality. In 1865, at a time when children's books featured exemplary, well-behaved girls and boys, Twain, having surely noticed, perhaps from his own family, how children deal with the flood of advice given to them by adults, wrote this seemingly "instructive" text of advice for young ladies, which, with his subtle humor and sarcasm, essentially brings to light the strategies with which children, as they grow up, try to justify their mischief. Parents who read the book together with their children - this is recommended because the text is not only intended for children, but also because this way children will better understand the subtle irony of the text - will do so with a smile, as it will surely remind them of themselves a few decades ago. The spirit of the author is followed by the "unconventional" illustration of the book. Vladimir Randunski designed and illustrated the book masterfully, creating the visual impression of a classic children's album, where the child draws, notes, scratches, or sticks whatever interests them or comes to mind, without strict order.
