On the pages of this work, the reader will follow step by step the entire sanctifying and sacrificial journey of Saint Nectarios, from his birthplace, Silivri, to Aegina, and will recognize the tireless and glorious worker of the Lord's Vineyard, in whose holy form the Scriptural saying was fulfilled: "As it pleased the Lord, so it came to be; blessed be the name of the Lord."

Saint Nectarios is a great hierarch in his humility, revered, highly praised, a courageous fighter of piety, a wise teacher of the Gospel, a brilliant champion of Christ. And in our difficult times, the Saint truly rises "like the morning star in the midst of a cloud and like the shining sun in the temple of the Lord" (Sirach 50:2).

We seek and desire him as our spiritual guide, as the sharpest awareness of the distressed and the most complete comfort for the afflicted, as an intercessor at the throne of God for the salvation of our souls.
