The copper tube terminals of the DIN series (galvanized) comply with standard DIN 46235, designed for crimping. They allow for the connection of copper wires and are used where there is a need to connect cables, such as in distribution boards or other devices using screw-type terminals. The use of DIN terminals increases the safety and durability of these connections. Compared to soldered connections, terminals reduce the risk of overheating of the conductors and insulation. In the case of terminals, they must be reshaped to "round".
All copper terminals undergo additional strengthening and annealing processes at a temperature of 700°C. This process removes all impurities from the terminal's construction material. Reinforced terminals, unlike non-reinforced ones, are less prone to cracks during crimping, providing better performance parameters.
According to standard DIN 46235, the dimensional tolerance for size "d1" for cross-sections 10-150 mm² is +/- 0.3 mm, for cross-sections 185-400 mm² +/- 0.4 mm, for sizes 500-625 mm² +/- 0.5 mm. The tolerance for dimension "b" for cross-sections 10-70 mm² is +/- 1 mm, for cross-sections between 95 and 625 mm² is +/- 2 mm. For the entire range of cross-sections, the dimensional tolerance for size "l1" is +2 mm, for dimension "c" -3 mm. The effectiveness of crimping depends on using the appropriate tool and a ring tailored to the cross-section.
