I decided to get an espresso machine to replace an older one that had broken down. My usage is about 1 coffee per day, mainly cappuccino. I chose a multicapsule machine and not just one with ground coffee like I had before, although the truth is I have no experience with Nespresso and I wasn't very satisfied with Dolce Gusto from using a similar machine in the past. After searching and reading opinions, I decided not to get one with a milk frothing option since I can make it very quickly with my frappe mixer and to get this particular one, which is a well-known brand with a service center relatively close to me, and also with compact dimensions that are convenient. The result excited me (although this depends on the brand and type of coffee each person likes). After 2 months of use (for ground coffee, which is what I have tried so far) I have found the following:
Positives:
- Coffee. It is better than the ones you get outside from professional machines, and I can even say better than from cafes.
- Dimensions. Very convenient. It doesn't take up the space that others do and also has storage space for a few capsules, for example.
- Use. Automatic, and you electronically select the amount of coffee and whether it will be cold or hot (except for 1 time, I have only made hot so far due to the season).
- Noise. Compared to others, it is minimal and not at all annoying.
- Appearance. The device is very stylish compared to others and fits perfectly in the space.
Negatives:
- Water tank. Its capacity is small but understandable due to its dimensions. Perhaps it's better so the water used is refreshed more often.
- Power off. The machine does not turn off by itself like my old one did. It just goes into standby mode, like when you turn off your TV with the remote. I knew this because it was confirmed to me before purchase by Rohnson Support (which, by the way, was excellent in their live chat service) and I don't think it's a major reason for someone not to buy it.
