It is one of the richest honeys in antioxidant properties and is characterized as honey of exceptional nutritional value. It stimulates the human body and has an increased number of trace elements (such as potassium, magnesium, iron, etc.). It has a very unique aroma and taste and is one of the darker honeys.

Although our country is very rich in oak forests, it is considered a rare variety of honey. In the peninsula of Mount Athos, the main forest trees that provide us with their flowers or their secretions are pine, fir, oak, various flowers, mixed from various trees that we call forests, and chestnut. Through the passage of centuries, bees have created a harmonious collaboration with the forest, offering us excellent honey. It is also noteworthy that the forests of Mount Athos are protected by the NATURA 2000 agreement.
