The JJC TM-J2 remote control cable functions as a timer and intervalometer, with settings for self-timer photography, long exposures, and intervals, as well as control over the number of shots. It can program exposures lasting up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds, with up to 399 shots or an unlimited number of shots.

The LCD screen features a backlight for nighttime use. The cable also functions as a shutter release: half-pressing focuses, while fully pressing activates the shutter. For long exposures, the shutter can be locked by sliding the button upward. It helps prevent camera shake and makes self-portraits possible.
