The negatives are that besides having a somewhat strong smell, in some places it is so sticky that it leaves its glue behind, and when it finally comes off, that area is dull and not transparent. Perhaps a detail, but for someone who doesn't just want to stick a surface but wants it to be completely transparent, so that what it covers can be clearly distinguished (like a lamination, that is), as in my case, it is a problem. I haven't experienced this with other adhesive tapes.
