Christina Christofi, born and raised in Limassol, studied cooking at AXXIK and completed her studies with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Culinary Arts from the University of Derby. With over nine years of experience, she has worked in distinguished restaurants in Cyprus and France, including a Michelin-starred one. Her cooking philosophy focuses on Mediterranean ingredients and the flavors of Greece, Cyprus, and Italy, which she highlights with modern techniques and creativity. "Fagitares with Closed Eyes" is her first book.

    The vibe of the book is like cooking with a friend who gives you the most honest tips, the ones she learned the hard way – and she shares them so you won't have to make the same mistakes. The recipes mainly come from Greek and Cypriot cuisine, with that comfort element that makes you feel "at home" from the very first bite.

    I really liked that everything is clear: ingredients, times, serving suggestions — and most importantly, there’s none of that "pretentious" stuff you often find in cookbooks. Here you have genuine, well-made dishes, created with love and a lot of enthusiasm.
