A comprehensive filter for neutral density and polarization, the PolarPro Peter McKinnon Chroma VND/PL Black Mist Filter for Helix Maglock 2/5 Stop Grade 1/4 fits the Helix Maglock filter system. It utilizes the recently designed Chroma Glass to create a filter with independently adjustable elements for neutral density and polarization in a dual-rotational design.
The new glass incorporates black particles to provide 1/4 degree strength of blooming images, depth of color, and rich, dark shadows. The filters also enhance color accuracy, as they are only affected by the deviation resulting from polarization.
The neutral density filter allows users to reduce exposure values to achieve various effects, while polarizers reduce glare and reflections to provide a crisp, clear appearance.
The filter features 16 layers of coating against scratches, reflections, and fingerprints.
The Helix Maglock Filter System
The Helix system provides an absolutely secure connection using a magnetic link plus a quarter-turn locking mechanism, making the installation and removal of filters instantaneous. This advanced locking system ensures that filters remain locked in place, even during the most demanding shooting conditions.
