For decades, every time the Scorpions come to Greece, it causes waves of excitement, but also questions. On one hand, thousands of people of all ages rush to see them and hear their songs again. On the other hand, some see this popularity as a phenomenon of decline.
Amidst all this, the essence is often lost. Who were the Scorpions? What legacy did they leave? What did they represent? What were their glories and what were their mistakes? Were they better during the time of Uli Jon Roth or in the 1980s, when they even made America bow to their distinctive English with the heavy German accent?
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary (2025) of their founding, this study aspires to provide at least some answers, choosing the path of a critical biography.
