The game is 5 stars without question. One of the best, if not the best, I believe for the Switch 2. It's a must for anyone who owns the console and generally likes Donkey Kong. I remembered my childhood with this game when I used to play SNES Donkey Kong Country. It's been years since I got so hooked on a game.

Top platform game. Excellent animation and graphics. Many pleasant details. For example, the unique voice over of Pauline. Its strong point is the gameplay and the immediacy of the controls. The breaking mechanism is original and addictive, it is something substantial and at the same time takes the gameplay and the enjoyment you get from the game a step further. It also has a mode for younger ages that helps you play with instructions, etc. By far, in my opinion, the best platform game that has come out recently

I played for about 6 hours. I didn't understand what all the fuss was about. A boring, repetitive game without (noteworthy) story.
I didn't expect it to be Clair Obscur but Super Mario Odyssey, for example, has a story, variety, and I wouldn't call it repetitive. Also, let's keep in mind the release year of one and the release year of the other game.
Not even good enough to pass the time on a ship. I prefer other games even just to kill time on the Switch. Maybe it has value for a little kid.

  • The game is very beautiful and extremely entertaining. I really didn't want to put the controller down, I played for over 65 hours.
It has quite a few fresh ideas and a lot of that Nintendo magic in it.
It is quite easy, much easier than Mario Odyssey or DK Tropical Freeze.
For those of you with a Switch 2 who are considering it, it's hard not to like it.

More or less what has been mentioned in the other reviews, Nintendo games have always been above average. Is it worth the overpricing now? No, for no reason does it seem to be a better production, for example, than Astro Bot. Nor will you see graphics that will leave you speechless. It is definitely a very entertaining game for 40-50 Euros at most

The boss fights were a bit easy but other than that very good. Strong contender for game of the year

Being almost middle-aged, I now find it quite difficult to get excited and dedicate time to a game. Donkey Kong Bananza is one of those few games that manages to do that. A game that breaks away from the classic safe paths that companies now follow. The game’s mechanics are highly addictive and its worlds are beautiful. It has some elements in common with Mario Odyssey, but it makes the most of them. A characteristic example is the collection of bananas (stars in Mario Odyssey), but in DK there are far fewer of them, and by collecting them you can upgrade your abilities (similarly, Fossils->purple coins work in MO). Truly a game you absolutely must play even if you are not a fan of the genre

The most satisfying, fun, and addictive game that Nintendo has made. It's 80% Mario Odyssey style and 20% Tears Of The Kingdom combined. However, in my opinion, it is much better than both, it is also worthy of game of the year, it is already certain that it will be in the top 3 games this year fighting for the title (along with Expedition 33 and Silksong). It is the "system seller" of the Switch 2, this should have been released initially with the console, not Mario Kart, at least this one would have deserved the €80 price if it had it. If you have a Switch 2, Bananza is a MUST BUY

Quite simply, it's as if Mario Odyssey and Tears of the Kingdom had a child. However, in my opinion, it is MUCH more fun than those (as someone who loves TOTK and has 100% completed Mario Odyssey and done speedruns). It's addictive, makes time fly by without you realizing it, and it's the game that truly shows how good the Switch 2 is compared to other consoles. It's essentially the system seller game. If you have a Switch 2 and not Bananza, you are missing out on A LOT. If there is a game worth the €80 price, it's this one. It's the most satisfying game I've ever played.

Probably one of the best games Nintendo has released in recent years. Absolutely addictive, well-designed from the map and its mix of linear and non-linear level design, with clever ideas that seem endless AND make use of the game's mechanics. An unexpectedly pleasant and interesting story for a 3D platformer, providing motivation to continue the game beyond its already amazing gameplay, with enough plot twists to raise the hype to the max (the ending is excellent). As for the negatives, there are small but important ones: performance drops significantly in some parts of the game, the collectathon aspect of the world combined with some repetitive mini games/challenges slightly disrupts the balance of unique and repetitive ideas throughout the game, and the beginning of the game is a bit slow/not as interesting until about the end of the Canyon. 8/10, very strong - buy without hesitation.

Simple but VERY addictive!! I expected it to be different than it is but it’s worth every € and every minute you play, hours pass by and you don’t even realize you’ve been playing for so long.
Ideal if you want to break things and let off steam from the pressures of everyday life.
You can’t have a Switch 2 and not have this!
