The perspective of wide-angle lenses makes things appear farther apart than they actually are.

The front lens element does not protrude like most wide-angle optics, allowing users to attach 67mm screw-in filters. To enhance reliability against the elements, it features a dust- and moisture-resistant design, as well as a fluorine coating on the front lens element, making it easier to clean and resistant to water and oil stains.

The bright f/1.8 aperture enhances this prime lens's ability to create quality images in low-light conditions.

The extremely wide optical field of the lens is complemented by a shape factor designed for easy handling during movement.
