Truly waterproof compared to some others that are cheap and "bamboo". It passed the test in the summer with sweat and nothing got through to the pillow.
Incredible quality, amazing pillow protectors! Our little one sweats constantly on her head now in the summer because of her hair, so by putting this protector and a cotton pillowcase on top, we basically save the pillow, which is memory foam and cannot be washed or get wet. In general, the Bamboo products have suited us very well, as has the corresponding underpad, which is also the best we have bought so far.
