The PGP FAUX WOOD FINISH is the final coating that gives the surface the appearance of wood. It is easily applied over the PGP FAUX WOOD PRIMER substrate. It has excellent adhesion, coverage, and provides a superb glossy finish. It is used on all types of hard surfaces.

APPLICATIONS

• An ideal solution for renewing old or worn surfaces, adding the beauty and warmth of a wood look.
• Can be applied on metal surfaces, MDF, particleboard, melamine, wooden and plastic surfaces, drywall, concrete, plaster, etc.

Surface Preparation

• Surfaces must be dry and clean, free from foreign materials (rust, oils, greases, salts, dust, etc.).
• New wooden surfaces: Must be sanded with sandpaper and dust removed.
• Painted surfaces: Old substrates in good condition do not need to be removed. If issues are present, they should be removed with solvent, surfaces smoothed out, and dust removed.
• Metallic and glossy surfaces: Gloss should be removed with sandpaper to improve adhesion, and dust should be removed.
• Apply 1 or 2 layers of PGP FAUX WOOD PRIMER with a brush to create the background. Allow the surface to dry for 24 hours.

Application

• Mix the material well before and during use.
• Apply the first coat of PGP FAUX WOOD FINISH with a brush across the entire surface in long strokes. Allow the surface to dry for 12 hours.
• Apply the second coat with a brush and use the special tool PGP WOOD REPLICA to create knots and special wood patterns. Allow the surface to dry for 12 hours. High humidity or low temperature will extend drying time.
• For better protection, you can apply a third layer of clear varnish over the entire surface.

Coverage: 12 - 16 m2/Lt

Dilution: up to 5% with white spirit

Application: with a brush and with the special tool PGP WOOD REPLICA

Initial drying: 2 - 3 hours at 20°C

Final drying: 12 hours at 20°C
