Combining a wide-angle perspective with a fast maximum aperture, this Compact Ultra Wide-Angle 12mm f/2.0 AF lens from Samyang is designed for mirrorless Canon RF mount APS-C cameras. It provides a focal length equivalent perspective of 18mm in 35mm (full frame).

The construction of the lens incorporates:

  • Two low dispersion elements
  • One aspherical element
  • One hybrid aspherical element

These control aberrations and distortions for increased sharpness and clarity. Ultra Multi-Coating has been applied to all lens elements to reduce flare and ghosting, providing enhanced contrast and color fidelity.

The bright maximum aperture of f/2.0 excels in challenging lighting conditions, allowing for greater control over depth of field and focus placement. The Linear STM autofocus motor provides fast, quiet focusing. The lens barrel incorporates a custom function switch and a focus hold button for optimal focus control.

The seven-blade diaphragm offers a smooth bokeh quality.
