Belief: A relationship of trust with God.

The first word of the Creed, which has given it its name in our everyday language, "I believe" is a dynamic and comforting word at the same time. When I believe, I trust. When I believe, I let go. When I believe, I am open, receptive, and sincere, precisely because I know that the other, the one opposite me, is the same as me.

Without faith and trust, no relationship can be built, especially our relationship with God. Many times, in the momentum of memorizing the Creed, we forget the dynamism of this first word and primary prerequisite in our relationship with Him.

We express the first word in the singular, although it is formulated in the plural. Why? Because our relationship and faith in God is personal. Our communication with Him is the same. We talk to Him in the singular, we are one to One. Even when we are angry with Him, even when we wonder why, even when we ask Him for explanations...
