I have had it for 1 year in an electric car and I have connected it to the OBD port with a low profile OBD to MicroUSB adapter which has a toggle switch on top so that I can easily open/close it. I have done this so that when I park outside, it continues to record even when the car is turned off, while when I park in the garage, I close it so that the 12-volt battery doesn't get drained.
Personally, I would like it to support more memory because with 128GB, which is the maximum, it can hold about 9 hours of video (1080p, while with 1440p it's around 6 hours), so if I park for more than 9 hours at night and something happens, I might lose it (although it might be saved in the emergency folder which doesn't get deleted, but fortunately, I haven't had to use it to find out). In any case, I don't consider this a normal scenario (since most people don't operate it this way, but I'm mentioning it for the 1 person who might want to do the same), so it doesn't lose points there.
The cable for the rear camera fit comfortably and the installation was straightforward and easy.
The video quality is good during the day and average at night, but all dashcams struggle in this area.
One slightly annoying thing is that when it updates, sometimes it loses the settings and generally loses the time... every 2 days, for example, it might lose 1 minute.
The application is user-friendly and you can view the videos on the spot as well as download them for better quality.
The emergency recording seems to also have drift detection because whenever I drift a little when I start quickly and the car spins slightly to the right or left, it captures it and saves it in the emergency video folder, so if you experience hydroplaning, for example, it will record it.
In the end, I am satisfied with the purchase and Xiaomi once again offers value for money.
Την έχω 1 χρόνο σε ηλεκτρικό αυτοκινήτο και την έχω συνδέσει στην OBD θύρα με low profile OBD to MicroUsb ανταπτορα ο οποίος έχει πάνω και ενα toggle switch ωστε να το ανοίγω/κλείνω εύκολα. Το έχω κάνει αυτό ώστε όταν παρκάρω έξω να τραβάει ακόμα και όταν κλείνει το αμάξι ενώ όταν παρκάρω στο γκαράζ το κλείνω για να μην ζορίζεται η 12volt μπαταρία.
Προσωπικά θα ήθελα να υποστιρίζει παραπάνω μνήμη γιατί με 128GB που ειναι το μαξ κρατάει για περίπου 9 ώρες βίντεο (1080p ενώ με 1440p κοντά 6) οπότε αν παρκάρω το βράδυ πάνω από 9 ώρες και γίνει κάτι, μπορεί να το χάσω. (ίσως να αποθηκευτεί στο emergency folder όμως που δεν διαγράφεται αλλα ευτυχώς δεν έχει τύχει να χρειαστεί για να το μάθω). Σε κάθε περίπτωση δεν το θεωρώ φυσιολογικό σενάριο (καθώς οι περισσότεροι δεν την λειτουργούν έτσι, τα γράφω ωστόσο για τον 1 που θα θέλει να κάνει το ίδιο) οπότε δεν χάνει πόντους απ εκεί.
Το καλώδιο για την πίσω κάμερα έφτασε αρκετά άνετα και η εγκατάσταση δεν είχε τίποτα αξιοσημείοτο καθώς ήταν απλή και λυτή.
Η ποιότητα του βίντεο ειναι καλή την ημέρα και μέτρια την νύχτα αλλα όλες οι dashcam μπάζουν σ αυτο τον τομέα.
Ένα λίγο ενοχλητικό είναι ότι όταν κάνει update κάποιες φορές χάνει της ρυθμίσεις και γενικά χάνει την ώρα... κάθε 2 μέρες δηλαδή μπορεί να χάσει 1 λεπτό.
Η εφαρμογή είναι εύχρηστη και μπορείς να δεις επειτόπου τα βίντεο καθώς και να τα κατεβάσεις για καλύτερη ποιότητα.
Το emergency recording φαίνεται να κάνει και drift detection γιατί όποτε μου φεύγει καμιά φορά που ξεκινάω γρήγορα και σπινιάρει λίγο με αποτελεσμά να φεύγει δεξιά ή αριστερά το αμαξι (ελάχιστα) το πιάνει και το αποθηκεύει στον φάκελο των emergency video, οπότε αν κάνετε hydroplane πχ θα το γράψει.
Εν τέλει είμαι ευχαριστημένος με την αγορά και η xiaomi για άλλη μια φορά ειναι value for money.
