Assistance in the rapid diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction. Check if the patient has experienced a myocardial infarction in the last week.
Diagnosis capability 4 hours after the onset of the episode. Troponin I is released into the blood 4-6 hours after the onset of pain. It remains at detectable levels for 6-10 days, unlike CK-MB which returns to normal values after the third day.
The release of Troponin I has also been identified in other cardiac conditions such as:
- unstable angina
- congestive heart failure
- ischemic damage due to coronary artery bypass
Due to its high specificity and sensitivity to myocardial tissue, Troponin I has become the preferred biomarker for the detection of myocardial infarction.
The test requires no preparation: a sample is taken with whole blood without centrifugation, thus providing rapid results during critical hours for the patient's progression.
Detection limit 1 ng/ml. Result in 10 minutes.
