Santorini is an accessible strategy game, simple enough for an elementary class, yet it offers depth and content for the most demanding players. The rules are simple and each round consists of 2 steps:

  • Move: Move one of your workers to an adjacent square. You can move on the same level, climb up one level, or descend any number of levels.
  • Build: Construct a building level next to the worker you moved. When building above the third level, place a dome, thus blocking that square from the game.

How to win: If any of your workers reaches the third level, you win the game.

Variable player powers: Santorini includes unique divine and heroic powers, adding additional layers of strategy to an otherwise abstract game. With 40 thematic powers of gods and heroes, each game experience is unique and radically changes the way the game is played.
