For the use of high-temperature silicone glue, follow these steps:
- Surface preparation: Ensure that the sealing surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or other contaminants.
- Glue preparation: Cut the plastic nozzle above the thread of the glue tube. Attach the plastic applicator and cut it to the desired size to control the glue flow.
- Applying the glue: Ensure that the width of the joint is between 6 mm and 20 mm. If it is smaller or larger, the applied depth should be adjusted accordingly: For a width of up to 12 mm, maintain a depth of 6 mm. For widths greater than 12 mm, the depth should be half of the width of the joint. Insert the glue into the joint within 5 minutes of opening the tube. Smooth it out with a wet knife or your finger to ensure an even application.
- Cleaning and finishing: Add a little detergent to the water to facilitate the smoothing of the glue. Remove the paper tape immediately after applying the glue for a clean finish.
- Drying and curing: Allow the glue to dry completely. The high-temperature resistance of over 250°C is achieved after full drying and can temporarily withstand up to 300°C (approximately 1 hour).
- Important note: The glue cannot be painted, so plan your application so that the final appearance is acceptable without needing additional painting.
- Avoid contact with greasy substances, oils, cooling fluids, or fuels, as the glue may swell under these conditions.
These instructions will help you achieve an effective and long-lasting seal in applications exposed to high temperatures.
